The Pakistan Khaskheli Itehad was established on November 16, 2016, a Wednesday, at the residence of the late retired SP Ali Nawaz Khaskheli in the city of Hala, Matiari District. The gathering saw representation from thousands of respected members of the Khaskheli tribe from various areas of Sindh and Balochistan.
A common decision and consensus led to the appointment of Mr. Sarai Niaz Hussain Khaskheli as the head of the union, and the formation of a Supreme Council. After some years, it was agreed upon in a grand event that such a large union should have a Chairman rather than a President, and Sarai Niaz Hussain Khaskheli was appointed as Chairman, a position he continues to hold.
After the event, the community, led by their beloved Chairman, reached the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, where they prayed for the union’s welfare. Soon after, the union’s leader began consulting with close associates about the structure of the central body, the Supreme Council, divisions, districts, and various wings, which were successfully established. Some districts are still being worked on by dedicated friends.
The Itehad has honored and respected members from Sindh and Balochistan by appointing them to various positions within the organization. The union’s leader has always maintained that any member should be willing to support and stand by their tribe in times of need. He emphasizes that the union is not anyone’s personal property and should not be misused for personal gain or to disadvantage the community.
Those who misuse the union or do not follow its policies are removed from their positions. Hardworking individuals who are fit for leadership are valued and trusted to lead the community. Decisions regarding the union are made with input from the central leadership, Supreme Council members, wing presidents, and divisional and district heads.
If someone wishes to return to the union, they must get approval from the Supreme Council before rejoining. Currently, with the blessings of Allah, the union is approaching its eighth anniversary. During this time, the Chairman has never taken a break, working diligently regardless of weather conditions or other challenges.
Organizational work is ongoing in several districts, including Larkana Division, Qambar Shahdadkot, Shikarpur, and Tando Muhammad Khan. The foundation day of the union is celebrated annually in Bhit Shah, though the 2023 celebration was held at Deewan Hall, Karachi, due to COVID-19. This event was highly successful.
Active members who contribute to the union’s expansion are honored during foundation day events with gifts such as caps, shawls, shields, trophies, or other awards. The union’s leader has consistently recognized hard work in this way.
It is notable that the union leader travels extensively, from Saudi Arabia to Dubai and various regions of Pakistan, sharing in both joys and hardships of the community, and supporting their rights and demands through rallies, strikes, and protests. The audit process within the Itehad is thorough, with reports collected from officials about their activities.
